I really like weaving and I have several small looms. But all of my interests ebb and flow, so I haven’t woven much for the last few years. We have a tapestry weaving exhibition at work, so I’ve been inspired to pick it up again.
This bookmark is the first time I’ve followed a pattern, Diamond Twill Bookmark by Spruce & Linen. I made it for a coworker who is lovely, kind, and an amazing problem-solver. Both warp and weft are wool, crewel thread from an embroidery project. I purchased them from At the Sign of the Golden Scissors; a mix of different brands, so I’m not sure what these are now.
I wove it on a bookmark loom I got at JoAnn’s or Michaels, lol.

The edges are a bit wonky, and I left the loops instead of turning them into tassels or something. It was really fun to come away with something that looked striking. My coworker loved it. 🙂 I’m going to weave some more for sure!
