Tapestry Weaving

There’s a tapestry weaving exhibition at work. I decided to learn the very basics so I could make a small tapestry to add to the “touchable examples box.” It was super fun, and I plan on doing more.

Pattern: Mirrix “Mini Scribble Landscape

Loom: A “Colonial Loom for Kids” I got at the Ft. Nisqually gift shop

Thread: Red wool yarn, a gift from a friend; orange, blue, yellow wool from At the Sign of the Golden Scissors; green silk from a local shop that went out of business a decade ago

Oh and cotton warp thread that’s just twine from the gardening department.
