Inkle Loom

I received a beautiful inkle loom for Christmas; it was something I had asked for specifically. I like tapestry weaving and fingerbraiding: I was ready for something to make more complex patterns.

The loom sat for two months because I was too scared to even try warping it. The first step to trying is the first step to failure.

For the last few weeks, I have struggled with warping it, using any number of guides to help. I watched a how-to video by a woman with a thick Midwestern accent, and I think I finally figured it out. I definitely need to practice before I’m ready for the complicated stuff, but it looks good.
