Some little guys

Some experiments with ink and watercolor: I had meant to use this watercolor painting as a background for something (block printing, I think). I decided to use them for fountain pen practice. I really love using the dip pen. It’s funny, because my mom was really good at calligraphy, but I could never get the hang of it when I was younger!

Something about the composition makes the white look like shine to me, not just a highlight, like these guys are made of quartz or something.
