Medieval Style Notebooks, 1st gen
Medieval almanacs often had important information like moon phases, saints’ days, or prayers. Often long and narrow, the pages were arranged in such a way that they folded out. These blank notebooks are based on that simple idea.
I loved mine. Something about the page arrangement works well for jotting notes!
These are made from parchment paper, with covers made out of watercolor paper and then sewn together. Illustrations are based on medieval marginalia except the flowers; that is a 19th century pattern. This is my first iteration, so they are imperfect. The covers start to wear away from the thread. Generation Two will fix that.
Sizes vary and are approximate!
Flowers: 2.5”x5.5”
Abstract: 3”x4.35”
Rabbits: 3”x4.5”
Skull: 3”x4.5”
Witch: 4”x4.25”
